The Daily Card
Oct. 2, 2014 – Two of Disks
Vertigo Tarot Deck Set 20th Anniversary Edition

Today I pull the two of disks – again! Or in this case, Two of Pentacles. The deck I’ve chosen today is the Vertigo, featuring the stellar and kind spooky artwork of Dave McKean, originally of The Sandman fame.
While it is the same card as I pulled yesterday, it is decidedly NOT the same card. This is why I love using different decks!
Today’s Two of Pentacles very much speaks to me of the change of season. I also brings to the surface the need for cultivation of that delicate balance between light and dark.
With a light square with a pentacle encased by other geometric shapes above, and a mirroring dark image below, it calls in the axiom of as above, so below. The light pentacle is pointed upward – matter to spirit, and the dark pointed down – spirit to matter. The essential dance between dream and manifestation.
Both light and dark are etched and splattered with gold.
There is a swirl of light and dark joining the two in the center. Solve.
I’m digging an alchemical vibe today.
Bless!
