My YA Reading List for the Year

Happy Monday, all!

My daughter is in seventh grade this year. (A yikes)

That's a whole other issue. But I'm trying to encourage her to read more so I decided to read her list of required reading along with her for her Language Arts class.

What's on her--er, now MY list?




The Giver by Lois Lowry








The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman








The Maze Runner by James Dashner









I think it'll be good for my daughter to see me reading what she is reading so I can empathize with her and also bring up some good discussions about the books as well, which might help her in school.

Actually, I've never read a Neil Gaiman book but always meant to and here is my chance, so I'm pretty excited about that!

I've also meant to get back to reading YA too. I've kind of drifted away from it but I'm ready for a change again.
