Society’s mind-molders—the schools, colleges, media, and religious institutions—often try to convince us that middle- and upper-income earners are the unfair beneficiaries of privilege.
Of course, many middle- and upper-incomers start out with advantages. For example, they are more likely to come from families that inculcate the value of hard work.
But could it be that the pendulum has swung too far, that middle- and upper-income people deserve more credit? That's what I argue in my PsychologyToday.com article today.
