The Equinox and my Geochron

Okay, NOW it's offical.

I have a really cool wall clock called a Geochron. It's a scrolling map that shows where the sun is shining on the earth at the moment anywhere in the world. During the Autumnal & Vernal Equinoxes it looks like this for one day:

Now it will start to open up at the bottom, culminating on the Winter Solstice (shortest day of the year) in what I like to call "The Christmas Bell" :

After the Vernal Equinox it widens at the top, forming what I like to call "The Salad Bowl" for the Summer Solstice (longest day of the year):

I love my Geochron :)
