As usual, my favourite season includes some fun author-ish events. While I’m not hosting the Crossroads Blog Tour this year, I will be sharing all the goodies from the Leap Books Halloween promotion we’re currently planning. You won’t want to miss out on free books! UNDER MY SKIN & SECOND SKIN

Are now available in audio book format! If you’re new to audio books, you can even get one of them for free when you sign up on Audiable. I’ve recorded an interview with the awesome narrator for both books, Elizabeth Semida, and will be posting it here in early October. She did an amazing job capturing Eryn’s voice.

Young Alberta Book Society: TALEBLAZERS Festival

I’m touring with Taleblazers and will be presenting to grades 5-9 students at the Progressive Academy in Edmonton on October 17th. I’ll be discussing everything from creating great characters / superheroes to writing thriller and horror. Perfect for the season.

Cold Lake Zombie Walk 2014

In the spirit of KILLER’S INSTINCT, the monster-hunter tale I co-wrote with Dawn Dalton, I’m organizing the first ever zombie walk in my home town. We’ll be lurching up and down the sidewalks of Main Street and RAISING funds for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Undeads unite! Find out more here. Donate to our team here.

Halloween in the Library: After Hours Dance

This event looks GOREgous…and if you’ve read Second Skin – it’s almost erie. Anyway, the Red Deer Public Library has invited me to “virtually” appear via a ghoulish pre-recorded video clip I’m creating just for the occasion which may involve me strolling through some creepy graveyards.
