Hello readers,

I have been reading a lot for my Lit class and if you have been on my tumblr page you would have seen me asking about. For those who haven't, I have read THE MONKEY'S PAW and THE GIFT OF THE MAGI. I also read THE ROCKING HORSE WINNER.

The monkey's paw reminds me of the genie and the three wishes. With that only good comes, but with the monkey's paw it's realistic. Not just you want this, you get this. It's you want this, this happens for you to get it. If that makes sense.

The rocking horse winner started out unrealistic, but I'm glad it shows how at any age you can help your family. It's sad what happened at the end.

Last but not least, my favorite is the gift of the magi. I love seeing how much love they have for each other.
