Forrest Jeffrey is a really under-appreciated author (and a very nice person, to boot). I published one of his short stories in Leviathan 3. I love The Physiognomy and The Portrait of Mrs. Charbuque. The Physiognomy was in the same vein as early Moorcock and M. John Harrison, but with a decadent strain that really took things to another level. Charbuque is a work of art.
