Might as well go with the Poe.

Love this, LOL!

I taught my kids to think for themselves, but also stressed the importance of spewing back whatever bullshit the teacher wants to hear :)

It's the key to good grades.

Yep, just write to your audience. There were plenty of times when I didn't agree with what a teacher thought but since she was giving the grades, I just told her what she wanted to hear. They love that. instant A. hahaha

Derrolyn Anderson We're not cynical. Not at all. ;)

First things first, I'm a realist.

Derrolyn Anderson You guys are both the realest.

Derrolyn Anderson There are some great teachers out there, and some real duds.

I homeschooled my girls K - 6th, specifically so they wouldn't get the joy of learning beaten out of them by the state or their intelligence ridiculed by their peers.

We were provided both the textbooks and the teacher's guides, and there were so many examples of sheer utter ridiculousness in what they tried to teach and how they went about it.

Me and the girls had a few yuks ridiculing some of the curriculum, and by the time I enrolled them in public high school they were good to go :)

Derrolyn: High five for home schoolers! I can't do that full time for my youngest as I did with my eldest. It makes me sad. :(

Yeah, sometimes it's feasible, sometimes not. I was lucky that I have a home based business and a partner on board with it. Also, I found a good 5th/6th charter for my youngest so she started in on "real" school a little earlier than the twins.
