Lightning Strikes Three Times

Lightning struck the house three times.  If you have never been in a lightning strike it is truly spectacular.  It was as if I was in a world of silver white light so filled with sound that all else was gone.  It happened too fast to feel fear.  I was more impressed and curious.  The storm was still crashing and screaming but checking to see if the house was on fire was a priority.  So I hopped into my car and drove around the house in the rain to check.  No flames I could see but that didn’t mean I didn’t have a wire burning inside a wall or the attic.  A 911 call brought the fire department and a hand held sensor to check for any hidden blazes.

None!!!  Now, I am a ringmaster for the various trades and service providers as we try to repair or replace what was damaged.  The good news is the house didn’t catch fire and I and my animals are safe.
