I actually really appreciate a book in the SF/fantasy genre that has a GLBT character because it's relatively rare. Charles really must have felt that his masculinity was under attack if he felt compelled to write to you. I'm sure if there had been a nice, soft-core lesbian love scene he would have reacted differently!
I find it astonishing that people can be interested in books that explore alternative realities, books written by authors who are known to provide adult and sexual content, and then expect the author to stick to some kind of mediocre territory where boy meets girl and, let that be ONLY boy meets girl.... and probably best they don't actually have anything as vile as... sex.... shudder.... (immediately washes hands) or hang on.... was the girl meets girl bit OK then? Hmmmmm he didn't complain about that then huh? Oh seriously. How embarrassing for Charles Degrove to show himself up in such a narrow minded and bully boy book burning sexually closeted fashion. I suggest he sticks to Mills and Boon.
