The men cheered. So loud it took Myra by surprise. So powerful. It hit her, the sound overwhelming her like a hailstorm, all at once and then drowning, crushing her ears. She stood unmoving and felt a wetness at her eyes though she hadn’t felt the need to cry, almost as if the crashing storm of their cheers had left her dripping. Her mind was blank for a moment because she had, somehow, even after all this time, forgotten who she was. Forgotten she was Queen.
Just wrote (or should I say drastically re-wrote) this paragraph. Felt like sharing. Because- guess what- I’m writing right now Whoot!
