PSA: Don't Do the Cinnamon Challenge

For all of you doing--or thinking about doing--the cinnamon challenge, cinnamon contains coumarin which is toxic in high doses.

In addition to damaging the liver and kidneys, it can also hurt your throat and lungs...

Thanks :)

I'm a sucker for romance.

Aki Me, too. I liked Faster Than A Kiss. It's definitely one of my favorites. Dengeki Daisy is good, too, though I haven't read that one for a while.

Nenia Campbell Oooh Dengeki Daisy was good! Didn't that mangaka also do Beast Master?

message 54: by Aki (new)

Aki Yes, he did. I've never read Beast Master, though. Is Dengeki Daisy finished?

message 55: by Nenia (new)

Nenia Campbell Probably! It came out a while ago. I started reading it about five years ago and it was out well before then.

Since the subject randomly turned to manga (which I have NO qualms about!) I suggest BRIDE OF THE WATER GOD (manhwa -- it's Korean, not Japanese) and RED RIVER. They're both historical fiction and absolutely amazing. Also, RED RIVER is the only 30+ book series I've finished apart from Hana Yori Dango (also recommended) which says something. ;)

Aki I didn't like Red River much. Maybe because I was so young when I read it? But I LOVE Bride of the Water God. I'm about a quarter of the way through it. Hana Yori Dango I need/want to read.

I love the Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) manga-- not the anime(s) as much, but I love, love, love the manga. My icon is Sebastian.

Aki Don't think I've ever tried that. But there's a pizza recipe using tortillas I've wanted to try forever.

message 58: by Aki (new)

Aki It's base is tortilla and a pizza sauce. From there, you put your own favorite toppings and grill it, I guess. I'll have to find the recipe.

I have heard amazing things about BLACK BUTLER but it is surprisingly hard to find.

Aki If you're interested in buying it, amazon or barnes and nobles. If you're interested in reading it, mangareader.net

Kuroi I've almost become a yaoi fan watching the Black Butler anime.

TL *Humaning the Best She Can* How did it get so popular?

Thanks! It sounds very interesting!"

I'll post a link for you.

Yana Toboso has some truly beautiful art and there's something loosely called a plot centered there, too. But mainly I think because of Sebastian.

Exactly. A lot of kids who act up are bored, under-challenged or misunderstood. It's easy to slip through the cracks.

I really appreciate that! I'll try to find a low-fat recipe for pecan pie for you! :)"
