It seems to be a middle school/college student thing.
I just couldn't not say anything though. I mean, a lot of people have no idea how dangerous it is. Knowing is half the battle. :|

I didn't know that! Eeek!
Supposedly it's an offshoot of the ice bucket challenge. Teens and college students decided to find other 'endurance' challenges. Like jumping off a cliff into freezing water, for example. Some kid bashed his head in doing that.
The ice bucket challenge upsets me because apparently millions of gallons of water in California have been wasted by teens doing it for fun (and not donating any money, either), and we're going through one of the biggest droughts in decades, so ffs.

Or DONATE to your local public library.

Yeah, Mum and I both nutmegged her pumpkin soup with a teaspoonful each (so double what the recipe required), by accident. When we tasted it after blending our lips and tongues went numb and Mum said she felt really light-headed. No one could eat it and we ended up having takeaway for dinner that night. After that I googled 'nutmeg overdose' and found out that it's actually a thing - 25g (just over a tablespoon) is enough to cause hallucinations and feelings of impending doom and other psychiatric disorders. An eight-year-old boy swallowed two whole nutmegs and died of poisoning within 24 hours.

Cinnamon dries out your mouth. The goal is to swallow a full tablespoon of cinnamon and not cough, vomit, or drink any water.

Jesus. Well, thanks for sharing!
One kid apparently had her lungs get infected and one of them collapsed after doing the cinnamon challenge. It's a pretty strong irritant, and there are two varieties, and one is more toxic than the other (I think the cassia one).

Yeah, I eat cinnamon on rice and tapioca pudding. Even then, it sometimes makes me cough a little.

It's a great spice, but yeah, too much has adverse reactions like you stated. But still, are kids actually stupid enough to swallow it like that?
...Don't answer that. I already know the answer.

LOL!"
It's a hard word to spell. I'm always misspelling "beginning" (forgetting the extra 'N'), license (reversing the 'S' and the 'C'), and oh God, what else? My betas could probably tell you.

Sometimes I marvel about how stupid humanity is. But then I remember that Jersey Shore is a syndicated television program, FSoG is being made into a major motion picture, and 21% of U.S. adults read below a fifth grade level.

#stupid, LOL

For a moment, I freaked out because I thought that said 'respective' and I was like WHUT

#stupid, LOL"
Oh really? Well, it's popular again. -_-
When I was in middle school it was 'let's imitate what's on Jackass and sniff glue!'

Must've been because some tv station was showing reruns of Beavis and Butthead. *headdesk*

#stupid, LOL"
Really? I can't recall it. There must've been different fads happening in school when I was attending. Of course, I was a social outcast so no one talked to me. ^_^

Gee... yeah, I think doing glue was popular amongst the morons when I was in high school. I'm dating myself, aren't I?

I marvel at the stupidity all the time. Especially with the younger generation.

I wasn't laughing at you, more with you.
Sometimes I stare at 'maybe' sure that it's not spelt right.
Thank goodness for my laptop's autocorrect that now works on the internet, not just Word, it saves me from embarrassing spelling mistakes hourly, minutely even on some days. Receive, believe (I switch the 'i before e, except after c' rule around), because, and I'm always typing a tthe instead of at the. I'm finding it hard to purposefully misspell because the autocorrect keeps correcting me.

I think, no matter how brilliant we are, we still have words that we misspell frequently. I don't know why, but that's what I think.

In my high school days it was all sex and drugs and rock and roll ;)
That was back in the stone ages. We actually had a SMOKING AREA in our high school, LOL.

I also didn't notice the misspelling until I went back to look at it and then I had to check the meme to make sure which letters were incorrect.

Really? Yeah, rock n' roll was popular when I was in high school. Rap was just getting started? I dunno. But sex and drugs were popular. My high school started a day care to accommodate all the kids having kids -_- And the local parents, too, but mainly, I think it was the kids who got pregnant.

I also remember smoking pot with the coach of the dive team I joined because I refused to go to PE.
Late 70's weirdness. It was a time very much like today :
Weak president/worldwide instability/bad economy/a penchant for post-apocalyptic tales, LOL.

Amen. All I can say is I didn't vote for him.
You know, the funny thing is that we find the forbidden relationship of teacher/student enthralling-- like Faster Than A Kiss (Kisu Yori mo Hyakku) by Tanaka Meca

Yeah, it was pretty disgusting. It's delicious in pumpkin pie, however! Just don't use too much."
Interestingly enough, I'm not a Pumpkin Pie fan very much. ~_~ Pecan now... oh baby.

Too much milk is bad too. There was a teacher at school here in Aus who dared her class to drink 2 litres of milk in one go. One of the kids filmed it with their phone and I think the teacher was nearly sent to jail, she was definitely fired.
My high school was really boring. I never saw any evidence of sex or drugs (but I'm a nerd with a select circle of friends, so it was probably happening right under my nose, but certainly there were no pregnancies). There were a couple of fights in the hallways and one girl from my year got expelled, but I had a really mellow high school experience. No one would be able to use me as the inspiration for a YA rom-com movie, everyone would fall asleep within minutes of it starting.

I looked it up and I found manga... In German?
I don't read either, but I completely understand about forbidden student-teacher love.
It still skeeved me out when a professor hit on me in college. Eeek!

What a HORRIBLE teacher. I wish I'd gone your route in high school. I was a rotten teenaged thrill seeker, and I'm lucky I survived some of my bad decisions.
I did, however, become an exemplary mom. Talk about "do as I say"!

You can read it here. It's a cute story. ^_^">"
Is this a link? It's not showing up for me :(

Oh wow!!! Last time I checked I had like 666!
