August, to me, has always been a wasteland of want and wishes, but little action. For some reason the bright sunlight of summer evaporates any and all of my creative drive. I have staggered (literally because of the heat) out to my studio and sat there for hours looking out the windows at deer or an armadillo or two with nary a keystroke struck.
This is not to say I am not enmeshed in the industry during the month of Caesar. Spent most of the month chasing down the insanity of a Walmart project that limped off the shelves (and/or table for which they charged me a fee of $0.20 a copy), and getting the ArkAngels and 4 more Serendipity re-pubs (now there 12) from the printer to the distributor.
But as for today, I will watch the clock as August slowly unwinds, eager to dive back into the alphavat and finish the story of Loody Muddles, a most amazing Trading Troll surviving his adventures in the Overwhirled.
