I’m done! And now to catch up…

Because I just submitted a story I didn’t think I was going to have finished in time. The Star Princess is a science fiction romance story based on the Grimm Fairytale, The Star Money. I was given six months to write it. I was doing well, too. Then I got stuck. And no matter what I tried, I could not get unstuck. It wasn’t writer’s block, I just couldn’t figure out where the story had to go to get to the final destination. So, I had a coffee with one of my local author friends and she helped me figure out what was wrong. The whole thing! LOL

I scratched what I had and started over. But with the summer looming, I didn’t have enough time to finish the story before my kids were off school. And writing during the day with them at home is almost impossible for me. With the help of my husband occupying them for an hour here and there, and my kids having the occasional moment where they were not fighting or making train whistle noises, I finished my story.

Here’s the blurb:

In one week, Princess Ro’sa will board a spaceship, leaving her home on Minjet to be with her betrothed on Earth. The only problem is, she detests the prince’s selfish and arrogant ways, preferring to spend time with his personal aide, a man who stirs her desires in ways she never imagined possible with his radient blue eyes and smouldering lips. And oh, the way he touches her.

Will she find a way to be with the man who steals her heart, or be forced to marry the egocentric prince?

So, since then, I’ve been working on graphics and a newsletter for my publisher, uploading my self-published books to Coffee Time Romance, and getting blog posts scheduled for various events and authors.

Be sure to stop by tomorrow when I help Beckey White celebrate the one-year anniversary of her book blog.

Plus, I have some more exciting news. Want to know what it is? Subscribe to my newsletter to find out: http://eepurl.com/eX1Zw
