Introduce Your Main Character Blog-Hop

I was tagged by Mara Valderran for this one. So, I thought it's been a while since I really talked about Kiya, so I'd introduce Kiya/Naomi to you here.
1. What is the name of your main character? Is she fictional or a historic person?Kiya is a real historical figure who I fictionalized through Naomi. The real Kiya was a wife of Akhenaten, the only wife aside from Nefertiti and her daughters that is mentioned as his wife. By combining her with Naomi it gave me room to fictionalize the events and remove the dryness that usually comes with fact driven Hist Fic. Although I used a historical timeline as the basis to the story, it is a work of fiction.

2. When and where is the story set?
18th Dynasty Egypt. The trilogy spans just over twenty years and five Pharaohs.
3. What should we know about her?Naomi has a heart full of love. Her love drives her to be smart (but sometimes rash and stupid), compassionate, tender, protective and to fight for the people around her.
4. What is the main conflict? What messes up her life?
When Egyptians come to her people and try to take her younger sisters to be the Pharaoh's wives. Naomi can't let that happen, so hands herself over instead. That one choice changes the course of her simple life.
5. What is her personal goal?
To protect her family, even at her own expense.
