SIMON HEFFER: Stop this infantile squabbling and rescue the NHS

Next week, emergency laws allowing the security services to access phone and internet data will be hurriedly introduced as part of the fight against terrorism. This is only possible because of an agreement between all three major political parties over an issue they consider to be of great national importance.
