At the DC Panel at BCC, was Greg Capullo being antagonistic towards you? He said something to the effect of “Gail, do you think women aren’t in the comics industry because they don’t TRY?” and the way he said it seemed a little derisive. Am I just reading into things too much?

Me, here. No, no, no, Greg is awesome, he was asking legitimately, he was genuinely interested. He’s great, seriously. I am wild about Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo entirely, they are incredibly supportive to other creators and lovely to readers (which is a big deal to me).

My impression was he was asking why we’re not getting more female creators in a sincere way, like, “why in god’s name isn’t this happening?”
