I'm so glad you enjoyed the story and the guys.

If you buy new from Amazon now, you should get the fixed, new version and everything should be fine.
If you already bought it, and return it and try to rebuy it, they will just reactivate the old file. But if you call tech support they will push the new version for you on request.

Since I thought returns at Amazon were only allowed within 24 hrs (it's actually 7 days), I did return the book with plans to repurchase when it was corrected. I saw your formatter's comments in the Amazon reviews re: the problem for people like me who returned & repurchase but I tried after a few days anyway. Like you (& he) said, I still got the bad copy. But I did one of those instant chat things with Amazon & they updated the content for me so it's all good now!
BTW, your formatter Michael was very sweet in his comments: anxious that all blame should be on him & how bad he felt about the mistake. It's so nice when an error is handled this way - by both of you. Between your wonderful writing and all the freebies you've provided (even long novels!), you've earned plenty of good will for a situation like this.
And the book is wonderful, a 5-star read for me.

It frustrates me that Amazon would sell people back the old version instead of a new one. I have no idea why this would ever be a good idea. They promised to look into it for us, within four weeks.... You would think that people would always want the new version if they go to the trouble of returning and repurchasing something?
And after all that, I'm really pleased that you enjoyed the book :)
