Man, Felipe, if you use e-ink to read, the experience isn't even close. lf they made a desktop computer that I could write on using e-ink I'd be all over it. Wouldn't even think twice. Keep in mind Amazon's first reader was with e-ink, as was Barnes and Noble's first reader. The fact that Scribd and Oyster don't use it is means they are, lazy and in my opinion selling the public short, and they know it.

Regarding Scribd and Oyster, I know they're not lazy, lol! and believe me I've had my share of "glitches" and have posted "many" posts about them. But lazy, I don't know, my experience has been they're pretty industrious. I've a contact at Scribd and I'll ask her if she knows or can let me know why or if or whatever in regard to why an e-ink's not available or in the works. I'll post another reply once I hear (probably early to mid next week, today's Sat). Thanks U.L.
U.L. wrote: "Please do that. Sweet. Good to know they're not lazy though."You and me both! I put them through a multi-month ringer when I first went live via Smashwords, and they worked weeks finding, recognizing, and correcting one thing after another. The true definition of "it's a process" :-)
U.L. wrote: "Please do that. Sweet. Good to know they're not lazy though."U.L. hello! I got this response from Alison at Scribd awhile ago. And she says to please feel to reach out to her at support@scribd.com and notate in either or both, the subject line and/or text, Attn: Alison.
I thought it might be more because of some technical issue, but it seems it's a device restriction issue.
But she seems to think there's plans and talks about having it happen. I hope so, and hope this helps or that you'll contact her.
Best wishes U.L. (smiles)

"The fact for why we aren't on Kindle Paperwhite (and their e-ink devices) is because it doesn't allow third party applications, as far as I know it's the same with the Nook.
"We are discussing means to make it happen. We are in talks and work is being done, so hopefully the discussion pan out and we can be available to more reader. But it'll be a process to make it happen, the second we're able to, will be on them though."
I'm definitely going to contact her. Excited that they're working on it. If they do pull it off, the first e-reader to use the service is the one I'll subscribe to.

Maybe (just guessing) with Nook being spinned off, they'll adjust their e-ink reader to take apps from Scribd and Oyster?
Either way, sounds like an opportunity waiting to be taken by a manufacturer.

One thing I've noticed about both Scribd and Oyster, they are very competitive, and always innovating what they offer. I do agree, they offer better title selections, self-published and big publisher titles.
So here's hoping your post here gets Scribd or Oyster or both heading in that direction and "suddenly" is e-ink useable. (smiles).
