Male or Female Narrator, Does It Matter?
In need of some advice
I am considering having my book, “The Sun They the Called the Moon” made into an audio book. It is a story of a man looking back later in life and recalling a part of his childhood. However, I been playing around with the idea of having a female voice narrate the book. I am wondering if this would cause a confusion in telling the story. What do you think? It is not written in the third person, but the first. The male character is telling the story as well as being one of its main characters. Would it matter if the audio book has a female voice?

JoAnn Yes, it would matter. Having a female voice narrate a man's character would just throw me off.

Joseph Persia Thanks, JoAnn, the problem is the female narrator is the better reader. It's making the choice much harder.
