I groaned when the prompt for “Selfie” came up next on #augustbreak2014. I tried it when I first acquired an iPod, andthe resultonly emphasized my resemblance to the namesake of the Old Maid card game, ca. 1960′s. That’s what aging does to a long neck and jawline with an inherited tendency toward a wattle. But I put my faith in Instagram and boldly went where I didn’t really want to go.
