My Pledge

 

I pledge my remaining years that God blesses me with to you

To be your companion on all the paths we may take

No longer having to walk alone, but in a union of two

Never taking for granted your love that I’d never forsake

 

When hard times and trials come our way

If others are against us, and we stand alone

We’ll remember the vows and promises we’ve said today

Knowing that with God, we’ll be strong on our own

 

I am not a perfect woman, but I’ll do my best

To love you and make a home, so you’ll be proud

Allowing you to handle and decide on all the rest

Knowing there will be all the love allowed

 

We have had special people in our lives before

Teaching us how important every day should be

I’ll always try to do better…
