I. Got. Nothing.

Deep into Boy With the Painful Tattoo right now and you have heard how I feel about rough drafts, so trying to come up with a blog right now is like being asked to explain the last three days through interpretative dance.

Anyway I thought I would cover this lapse by giving away some audio books. It's been a while, right? So let's give away 25 audio books from my backlist.

Comment on this blog -- I could use some words of encouragement right about now -- Friday through Sunday night and you'll be entered in a random draw for a download code -- good for any of my audio books.

message 2: by Janice (new)

Janice Breathe - inhale, hold it, now exhale slowly. Repeat.

message 3: by Irina (new)

Irina Me too! That cover was teasing me for so long now! Come on, Josh! We love you and know you can do it! :)

message 4: by Nick (new)

Nick Pageant Have a cocktail, nap. Repeat as needed.

message 5: by Riley (new)

Riley Just relax, take the day off and do something you really enjoy. Then come back to it.

And if that doesn't work, I like Nick's idea too. ;)

message 6: by Munch (new)

Munch I loved the first 2 books! Well I love all your books ;)I'm hoping that my wait will be over soon, you can do it!

message 7: by Holly (new)

Holly You are an amazing author and your work is worth the wait. Take some time to regroup - personally I find singing my fool head off while doing house work very helpful to clear my head - you will get there.

message 8: by Dyan (new)

Dyan Get your favorite beverage of choice, sit in the middle of your, turn on some spa or other relaxation type music and just let your mind wander. Don't force it in any direction, let it go wherever it wants.

You got this, you really do.

message 9: by Harper (new)

Harper I'm not worried--can't wait to see how you will work your struggles into Kit's struggles--with his writing, his relationship with JX.

BTW - Thanks for your blogpost on mid-draft blues--that helped me see that the low points midway are normal and need to be waded through.

Here's a quote that helps me when I lose focus:
“Obstacles are those frightening things you see when you take you eyes off your goal.”
-- Henry James

message 10: by Littlebit (new)

Littlebit Take your time, no pressure....but it might be fun to watch you do interpretative dancing. ;-)

message 11: by Tricia (new)

Tricia Go for a swim, eat something special, leave a pen and notebook by your bedside, and sleep with the windows open if there is a pretty breeze. THEN, maybe something will cross your mind upon awakening. Write it down. Maybe? The jest of it is, be kind and loving to yourself...just as your characters are to each other. JX and Kit will have a wonderful story to share with us all soon. I have no doubt!

message 12: by Tricia (new)

Tricia Please post video of any interpretive dance attempts.

message 13: by Tricia (new)

Tricia Oh! and rough drafts are supposed to be rough. You have to love them like a toddler or a teenager.

message 14: by Tracy (new)

Tracy The interpretive dance comment really got my attention! I can hardly wait for your next release--happy thoughts!

Charles Dude, read all the foregoing comments, then ignore them! Buy a case of Red Bull, a shitload of granola bars, and an o-ring pillow - then finish the damn book! I've been waiting for it since BEFORE the cover art came out! Have loved Kit and J.X. from the first book; they put that whiney wuss Adrien and *sigh* Jake to shame. We're all rooting for this. No pressure, but it's gotta/gonna be great! Carpal tunnel syndrome be damned; you can do this.....real fast. No pressure, though. ;-)

message 16: by LenaRibka (new)

LenaRibka Oh, great! I can't wait for it too! :))

message 17: by Kylia (new)

Kylia I'm sure you can do it! Like others, I'm so looking forward to that books. Through to be fair, and interpretative dance might be interesting to see.

message 18: by Samantha (new)

Samantha S Dying for this book!! I know it will be worth the wait.
