Thanks! Glad you're enjoying it!

I watched the first episode of the Outlander series on starz.com and it was fantastic! Claire was truly as I imagined her. I don't have Starz but I'm going to figure out how to watch the series somehow, I was truly enthralled. It DOES make me want to go back and read the series from the beginning!
Don't know who gave you that information, but it is on at 10:00 PM here in Boise, Idaho. Past my bedtime!
I've been anticipating this evening for months and have forced myself to not watch it on my computer. I just know it will be awesome!
I do not have the Starz channel either, but I found with internet access Starz is offering the premier episode for free, for anyone to watch at http://www.starz.com/originals/outlan... I watched it there and so far I am LOVING the film adaptation.
Watched last night on Starz (I got Starz just for this series!) and loved it. Claire and Jamie both met all my expectations. Frank didn't seem the person Diana wrote, but that wasn't really important as the program progressed. I'm just happy it was so good. Diana, you must be thrilled and overjoyed - at least with the first episode.

Loved, Loved, Loved it! Can't wait for the next episode. It has been a long time since I read the series but Jaime and Claire have been my favorite literary couple since I 'met' them. Love to see them come to life on TV. Keep them coming!!!
Absolutely loved the premiere. Very good casting for Claire and Jaime. Also, Claire's husband is in Game of Thrones. Now I can't wait to see the other episodes. So glad this finally went to the screen.
To be honest I have never heard of this series, please take no offense. Funny because it is right up my ally.I did get to see the first episode and I loved it cannot wait for the rest. I just hope they stay true to the books not like True Blood where they went off the rails with that series.

I second that emotion!
Just read that Frank is the same actor who played Edmure in GOT. I agree with the others - he's not what I expected. In my imagination, Frank was more animated, fast, fluid (maybe mercurial?). This Frank seems rather clunky. And along the lines of time, it’s on at 8:00 pm here in San Antonio.
I’ve been waiting decades to see Claire and Jamie brought to life and I simply adore Cait and Sam’s ridiculously wonderful portrayals of them. Outlander, as a production, is a beautiful thing and everyone involved deserves a big thank you from all of us!

As a British resident how I envy all you lucky folks watching Outlander brought to life on your TV screens. I do hope it will find its way over the water to us UK fans.
Hi Leila,
I know it doesn't help right this minute, but I do know that Amazon sells episodes of Starz' series. I just checked and Outlander isn't there yet but I'm sure it will be soon.

Oh, thank you Barbara! I will be keeping a close watch or it then. That was kind of you to check for me.
I haven't finished it yet, but I will this week sometime, and will feel like I'm missing part of my day so I may just do what you said and go back and do a second (read/listen) as I'm sure I'll pick up something different on a second read. I've caught the 1st episode of the STARZ show (which I ordered just so I could see this) and thought you all did a really good job with it. I can't wait for more!
Watched 'Sassenach" with friends. Loved it & my wife watches it every chance she gets {having Dish does have advantages!}. We spent some time in the Scottish highlands & at Inverness in particular. There is a haunted spirit in the glens, woods & rugged mountains unlike anywhere else. It's palpable; it's in the air, the woods, the glens; it breathes with you; it whispers to you softly & in a measured cadence that is an enchantment. This haunting essence that is so pervasive gives Outlander its magic. Needless to say we plan to spend many hours scrunched in front of the telly.

My pleasure, Leila :)
My pleasure, Leila :)
Would love the UK to air this. Really killing me to wait for this as on the fourth book atm and would love to see it come to life on the screen...
I re-read the entire series from the beginning in anticipation of MOBY's release. Then I read MOBY and immediately re-read it. Now I'm ready to go back to the beginning and start the whole thing again. LOVE the STARZ series! Ron Moore has just done a brilliant job and the casting is excellent...still, there's so much I "know" that cannot be shown in the time allotted to television shows....This is just the best story ever and pushes all my buttons - I love historical fiction, I can enjoy sci-fi/fantasy, a bit of romance is always fun...especially with Jamie and Claire as protagonists!
I'm re-reading Outlander now and think the show is doing a great job of staying true to the book. I don't have Starz but my Comcast On Demand has the first two episodes for free. Hope that keeps up!

Sam and Cait as Jamie and Claire are RIDICULOUSLY perfect! I was verra worrit that the TV series might go in a wrong direction, but I am Extremely Pleased with how wonderful it is. And even when the plot differs from the book, it only serves to uphold the spirit and direction of the story! I'm truly amazed!
I'm new to the book series because I watched the Starz premiere episode first. Then I knew I had to read these books. In a month I've devoured the first three books and am a quarter way through DoA. I'd better pace myself! I am loving Jamie and Claire and love the Starz production. They've done all Outlander fans and Ms. Gabaldon proud by keeping true to the characters, plot and story line.Thank you, Ms. Gabaldon, for a wonderful series! I've learned so much by reading it.
I've been a fan of these books ever since the first one, the Outlander on Starz has been perfect! The two main characters are just as I thought they should be! I didn't like Black Jack Randall in the book, and Tobias Menses is doing a fantastic job....Having to wait until April for the rest of the episodes, as a friend said, no-o-o-o-o-o-!!! I am going to go back and start reading them again!

Love this one as much as the rest!
