Summertime and the Livin’ is … Intense!
Be as watchful as the coyote, and good things will come…
As I’m sure all of you can relate… it’s been a busy summer! In June, I was picked up by Word|Link Literary Agency. They say they “would love to” represent my novel GNAW (a thriller about a genetically altered coyote set loose in a Long Island town. Get your rabies shot!). And after much searching for the right agent (and, yes, many rejections, but also several acceptances that just didn’t feel right), I would love them to represent me. So, what do we do in America? We sign contracts. I am officially signed with Word|Link and look forward to a prosperous and fulfilling relationship with the great folks at Word|Link who care about stories and good writing.
I’ve also been working as a book editor for a really stellar publisher in Boston called SDP Publishing Solutions. If you’re a first-time author with a book and know that your story deserves to be told (and whose doesn’t?), get it out there yourself. And I just may be the editor who helps you bring it to bestseller quality. Check in with publisher Lisa Akoury-Ross and ask for me. ;)
Just this past Monday, I gave MY editor at Boroughs Publishing Group the fourth book in my 101 Nights series. It’s called Dangerous Devotion and I think it’s the best one yet. But don’t take my word for it. Please check for yourself: Start with the first book in the series, To Have and To Hold. You can get it on Kindle, Nook, Smashwords, Kobe, or iBooks. Follow that with Reluctant Rapture and Ties That Bind. Dangerous Devotion will be out soon. Stay tuned to this site for more info. The jinn are here … all you have to do is look around.
These things didn’t all happen in a summer. I’ve worked hard for years to study language and writing, read-read-read, write the books, stay sharp in my craft. It’s paying off. The tag line: Hang in there! I would love to hear what you’ve been up to this summer.
Best Wishes,
Kellyann
