Marcelo Claure will be tasked with strengthening the company's network.
One day after Sprint dropped its bid to acquire T-Mobile, the wireless carrier also dropped its CEO Dan Hesse, replacing him with Marcelo Claure, founder of mobile phone distributor Brightstar Corp.
