Genetically Privileged

A self-proclaimed science nerd, I've incorporated the observation of human nature to craft stories that expose the good, and evil, mankind inflicts on itself daily.

This series, which begins with the debut novel Genetically Privileged, tries to explain the impact technology could possibly have on our lives, both good and bad through a storyline of the individuals involved. This is the path Genetically Privileged takes on it's journey through the lives of the children created by humankind.

The science of genetics has so much to offer. Cures for disease, organ replacement to extend our lives, foodstuffs resistant to drought and disease to improve our quality of life. But the ambitions of a few can take a technology meant to improve our well-being and use it to further a personal agenda that benefits only a few.

A thread of naivety runs through this initial offering as the children, though graced with special physical and intellectual abilities, are still children with much to learn of the desires of their Homo Sapiens creators.

And learn they do in the second offering, Genetically Conflicted. The seemingly idyllic world of the students is shattered as they are confronted by a foe bent on destroying not only their lifestyle, but also those responsible for their very existence. The children are still as charming as they were in the first edition, they've just learned to become more lethal.

Even though I believe nothing is black and white, or purely good or evil, one's motivations usually determine the outcome as we use the tools that are given to us in this life.
