An Introduction

For my first blog, I think it would be best to introduce myself.
My name is Leon de Kock, and I am from Centurion in South Africa. If you don’t know where Centurion is, just think of Johannesburg, and you’ll get the idea.
Currently, I’m about (ha-ha) 42 years old. I’ve been writing for fourteen of those years, and writing is still one of the things I’m most passionate about. When I’m not writing or doing my day job (yes, I still have one of those – self employed though,) you can find me at my girlfriend’s place, or you will find the two of us on our dirt-bikes enjoying the countryside. Or we might be hiking, batting, caving, drinking or anything else that involves the outdoors. Batting, for those of you who don’t know, means learning more about bats, those furry little creatures that you can see flying around at dusk.
That, in a nutshell, is what I like doing.
But you are here to read about my writing. I have indie published four books, have written another that is currently being proofread and edited, and I’m busy on two more. The indie publishing market saved my writing, because before indie publishing I was ready to throw in the towel, I just had that many rejection slips (actually, just no replies) from publishers.
