Children say "no fair!" when they don't get what they want. Maturity helps us restrain this impulse, but it doesn't go away. Your mammal brain rewards you with serotonin when you get the upper hand. When you see someone else in the one-up position, your inner mammal feels threatened. If you're frustrated about fairness, get to know your inner mammal.
