Another great review. I've had my eye on this one for a while so it's good to know that it's worth reading.

I will say that for this type of setting (guns and stuff), I much preferred Promise of Blood to this book. It's a bit faster, the characters are simply amazing, and it's got some great magic.
Promise of Blood looks really interesting too. I do like books that try to do something different with traditional fantasy and add industrialised elements to it. I've been struggling to find something really good to read recently so will definitely give these a try.
