The Munchkin Effect

Last week on Twitter, Dee from Dee’s Book Blog asked me if I was channeling Squeaker when I wrote Noah in The Husband Games. 

Apparently she noticed some similarities in her ARC.

And I had to tell her the truth. Noah wasn’t based on Squeaker.

He was based on Munchkin, because Munchkin was four when I started writing The Husband Games.

Munchkin doesn’t have the same dinosaur fascination as Noah, but he does like to sing. And he has gone through a pretty dresses phase too. But most of all, little kids (in my experience) have this special talent of thinking outside the box. Mostly, I think, because they don’t yet know the box exists. And that’s just too much fun to play with.

I can’t wait for all y’all to meet Noah! And Natalie and CJ, and the Queen General (hehe… more on her coming very, very soon) and Kimmie and Lindsey and the rest of Bliss. Eight days, y’all!
