One of the most exasperating aspects about my blogtending is realizing how my readership increases whenever I don’t blog.

It happened again last week when I took my longest sabbatical ever. We were at the Outer Banks and I didn’t once for seven full days try and compose a single blog. In six years I’d never previously gone more than four days.

Melissa Price Haha!! Love this blog post, Chris. I giggled, teared up and have to admit I wholeheartedly agree with your wife about 'not' blogging that you're going away. Just saw an incident on the news last week about it. Best to day you're resting for the week and I hope you and your wife enjoyed your time away!! Much deserved for both of you, I'm sure. Glad to have you back and thank you so much for connecting here.

Melissa Price You're awesome, Chris!! Thank you and it's seriously my pleasure. I often forget to check blog posts, but when I stumble upon one on the home page it's always a reminder that I need to seek them out because they're more often than not awesome posts like yours is which we're commenting about. :)

Chris Rodell I guess I have to check my message board more often, Melissa. Thanks! I hope you'll check out www.EightDaysToAmish.com where I blog three or four times a week every week.

I'm belatedly plunging back into GoodReads to begin the rollout for my new satiric novel, "The Last Baby Boomer: The Story of the Ultimate Ghoul Pool.

I apologize for not having seen your flattering quote sooner. Have a great day!
