Nationwide, 3 million jobs aren’t being filled because workers don’t have the skills to fill the positions. President Obama signed a measure on Tuesday to help reduce that skills gap.
It’s called the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act and it passed with support from both political sides.
Senator Al Franken (D-Minn) says the bill will give each state flexibility to create a streamlined workforce development system.
