An Uplifting New Creative Cycle Is Beginning

Is it time for new creative inspirations and fresh energy in your life?

If you feel a resounding YES, then I have good news for you, my friend!

Jupiter will move into Leo on July 16 for the first time in 12 years and this planetary change will kick-start an insurgence of creativity, taking a risk, renewed courage, and a renewed desire for self-expression. All of those projects, plans, and ideas you've been working on (or thinking about working on) may now have the support to bloom!

Jupiter takes about a year to move through each astrological sign, and as it does, it expands the energetic expressions. Obviously there are pros and cons to this expansion since it can also result in over-inflation, exaggeration, and all 'hot air' with nothing to show for it. My astrological mentor, Pam Younghans, calls Jupiter the "Santa Claus" of the zodiac because it can bring you everything you want - but to an excess.

In Leo, we have the joy of exploring creativity and fun, but also watch out for the unhealed inner child showing up, too much pride, narcissism, and excessive "look at me!" stuff. Leo rules fame and celebrity, and as with all signs, INTENTION is key. Until July 16th, Jupiter will be finishing its run through Cancer. As a planet reaches and moves through the 29th degree of a sign, you may feel or notice a 'culmination' energy. This is a completion point and a time to 'tidy up' any loose strings before a new beginning starts at the 0 degree point. Jupiter in Cancer has been showing us our emotional center and how to open up to more of our inner needs. But be aware of defensiveness, vulnerability, or being overwhelmed by emotions. Each of these patterns is an opportunity to consciously make a new choice. If you were to feel completely safe and secure in your emotional world, what new response would you have? Jupiter in Cancer has been supporting this area of growth so when you share your true Self more fully with the world (Leo), you have a secure inner emotional base.

Jupiter is one of my ruling planets (we each have a few key ruling planets), and Jupiter in Cancer made a sextile to my natal Jupiter in Taurus on the exact day of this connection.
