I'm not a fan of short fiction. But when my youngest brother sent me a link to NPR's
Three-Minnute Fiction Round Five, I was lured into writing a 600-word story that begins with "Some people swore that the house was haunted" and ends with "Nothing was ever the same again after that."
I haven't sent it in yet. (The deadline is September 26.) I will, though.
