Help me decide...

Need your input: Working through revisions on Monroe's story for Embraced by Shadow and have a question for all you readers...

I'm including the story of Luna's murder and how the Shadow/Day Walkers were created. Would you want to read the prequel as a separate short story? Such as Part I of the novel is the short story and Part II is Monroe's story and the final conclusion to the Shadow Walker series?

Or would you prefer having Thorne tell this story woven throughout the book?
