Squeaker vs. Ladies First

Because I’d like my sons to be gentlemen when they grow up, I’ve been working with Squeaker on the concept of Ladies First. At snack time, Buttercup gets her juice and cheese stick first, and when I hand it to her, I look at Squeaker and say, “Ladies first.”

So lately, he’s started saying it back to me. “Ladies first, Mama. Ladies first. Because Buttercup is a lady.”

Except the other day, he took it a step further. “Ladies first, Mama. Buttercup is a lady, Mama. And you’re not.”

I think Squeaker needs some good quality time with Jackson Davis.
