HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!

Straight from the desk of Alice Brown & Lady V:

While I am writing this, Lady V is hard at work finishing the last battle scene in Ivormantis, Dragons of Dragonose 3.  This book is very close to being finished, and is expected to go out to our beta readers this week.  We are anticipating taken some down time this week and recharging our batteries before we head into our next two books, My Beloved Werewolf, My Beloved Series, and Up in Smoke, Texas Vampire Rangers 2.

We want to wish everyone a Happy Fourth of July!  Whatever your plans our for the holiday, stay safe!

Here are a few snippets from Ivormantis, Dragons of Dragonose 3.

This week's featured author is:  Bryce Evans

Bryce, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to chat with us today.  Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I’m a full time police officer and love it.  I’ve been in law enforcement for a while and plan to retire from it if God is willing.  I’m also a full time mother, wife, and author.  It’s hard to do all of them but some way I find the time to write.  I never knew how much I love being an author.  I’ve learned so much and continue to learn from so many great authors taking time to help me out.  I won't forget that.  I hope those that read my work can see the improvements as each book comes out.  I do read my reviews, so I have been listening and hope those that said they would never read me again will give me another shot.

How long have you been writing?

I started writing at the end of 2012.

What drove you to writing?

Just a whim actually.  I was speaking to an author friend who told me to write her something and I did and she liked it and told me to finish it.  That was the start of a dream come true.

What do you feel the most comfortable writing?

Paranormal and Romance.

Do you have a favorite author or someone who inspired you to write?

Too many girls to name.  It changes with each new book I read.

What are the best times for you to write?

2:00 PM, why I don’t know but I’m working at that time so it’s not practical for me all the time.

When you are not writing, what do you enjoy doing?

Reading, reading, reading, and reading.  I love it, it is a passion, if I thought I could make money at it I would.

Oh, how well we can relate to that one Bryce!  Mr. Brown still grumbles at us over how much we spend on books!

Now, your new book came out on June 5, 2014.  Can you tell us about it?

Obsessions:Alpha City, Book #1

A city run by shifters? In Alpha city, wolves, bears, tigers, panthers, and jaguars live together in peace, centered and led by the Council of Alpha’s.  Ryder Malone, is the Alpha of his werewolf pack. He carefully balances his responsibilities as the official head of the Council, and older brother to his sister Zoey, but when she decides to leave for college, he finds himself drawn to her roommate.  Like an obsession, London Grey is under Ryder’s skin.  To his shock, the young witch orphan, and her best friend decide to move back to Alpha City with Zoey to create a new business.  But someone in Alpha City doesn’t want them to succeed.
Like a bad itch, mysterious happenings haunt the newcomers and the town’s Alpha.  Can they figure out the mystery before tragedy happens?  Or will Ryder and London’s own chemistry cause them to miss the obvious?

A Message from the Paws:

As some of  you may already know, it is not easy being the only dog in a house that has two very lazy cats.  I have tried, my friends, yes, I have tried to make friends with these cats over and over.  I bring them my toys and they just look at me like I've lost my mind.  I share the water bowl with them, I've even tried sharing my food with them.  They just stick their noses up in the air and walk away.  Recently, I have tried playing with them.  That hasn't gone over any better than anything else I have tried.  The minute I go up to them and try to play, one hisses at me and growls, while his brother screams, making the humans come a running, acting as if I am killing the little fellow.  I just want to play!

That's okay.  I overheard the mamma human on the phone making arrangements for me to go over to the Doggie Romper Room soon.  They were talking about me spending the night for a holiday coming up.  Don't know about any holidays, but it sure will be nice to have other dogs to play with.  (Doggie Romper Room is my aunt's house.  She has 4 little dogs, but we all play well together and I love going over to her house.)

Oh, and that photo from last week where I am on the bed with one of the cats?  Hasn't happened again since photo was shot.  Sure hope everyone has a dog-gone good week this week!--Shadow
