I think it's safe to announce that I'm scheduled as a guest for the
River City Comic Expo in Little Rock, AR on August 16th. Since we'll be diving through Memphis on the 15th, I'm hoping to set up some kind of appearance there. But nothing confirmed yet.
July so far is staying pretty clear as far as appearances or travel goes, which is a good thing. I've been running around so much that I'm still not completely unpacked from the L.A. trip...I haven't even gotten the few pictures I took off my camera.
I have been working on the prep for the 2nd Edition of
Living Single on Minimum Wage. Conceptually I think much of the book still holds up pretty well, but I very much want to get the examples updated. We knew it would need a new edition every 5 years or so anyway, but a few of the old ones are starting to feel a little embarrassing. My co-writer and I have agreed to keep the same cover and just add a "2nd Edition" label.
Back to comics, my very talented friend and Amoeba Ink contributor Ashley Malone has recently graduated with a BFA in Animation and has a new
portfolio up for viewing. You should check it out.
