Myth of the Week 027

In Danish folklore, a valravn (Danish for "raven of the slain") is a supernatural raven. These creatures appear in traditional Danish folksongs, where it is said they come from ravens who consume the bodies of the dead on a battlefield. They are also capable of turning into the form of a knight, but only once they've consumed the heart of a child. Alternately, they can make themselves appear as half-wolf/half-raven creatures.
