On The Wing

This is the most exciting post this blog has seen yet...I'm finally able to share a preview of my first ever illustrated children's book, On The Wing!
Almost 2 years ago, Candlewick Press asked me to illustrate a beautifully written poetry/picture book by renowned children's author, David Elliott.  It was scary to take on such a large project for the first time, but I ended up with one of the most gratifying, and worthwhile experiences I've had as a freelancer so far.David is wonderful.  I couldn't have asked for a better pairing (especially for a rookie like me).  Read more about David Elliott and his books on his website, here.
