02. How did you start book blogging? What got you interested in starting, were there particular blogs that influenced or encouraged your decision? (If you don’t have a book blog, are you interested in starting one?)

It may sound weird, but the first trigger was getting a Nook tablet from a friend for Christmas that year.  It got me back to reading again and involved in online book communities, which led to the friendship that ultimately inspired my book blogging journey.

03. What’s your ultimate book-inspired holiday? What would you do and would you take anyone with you? Has a particular book or author inspired this?

The only real answer I have for this one is that there is a book-themed hotel in New York City.  I would love to spend a few days there.

04. Which five authors (dead or alive) would you invite to a dinner party and why? Who do you think would get along and what would you talk about?

Hmm, this is such a tough one!  Probably Charlaine Harris, Amanda Hocking, Katie McGarry, Sarah J. Maas and Charles Dickens.  I know, I know.  That is a really eclectic grouping but I think it would make for some interesting discussions about the state of the literary world as we know it.

05. What were the last three books you recommended to someone and why did you choose these particular books to recommend? If your last recommendations were a large list shared all at once, then pick three books.

Gosh, you know, I honestly don’t do a whole lot of recommending outside of just reviewing on my blog.

06. Describe your perfect reading experience. Paperback, Hardback or eBook? Genre? Where are you reading? Alone or in company? Indoors or outside? Season? Weather? What time of day? Snacks?

I think the ideal environment for me would be alone, camping in a quiet forest park.  Just me, nature and a few good books.

07. Everyone’s entitled to an opinion. What are your thoughts on negative comments and reviews on books? Does it make a difference for you if they involve any constructive criticism or feedback?

I think there is nothing wrong with a negative review as long as it is constructive and not just author bashing.  I think as long as you are constructive and explain why you did not care for something, then the review still has value and merit.

08. What would your ultimate dream book collection include? What would it look like and how would you arrange your books?’=

Oh my, well, honestly, you know the library in Beauty and the Beast?  That’s all I am going to say.

09. What are your biggest book-related pet peeves? Why do these things bother you more than others?

Dog eared pages.  And broken spines.  Those drive me absolutely crazy and I really have no idea why!

10. What are some of your favourite things about people who read books? These may be generalisations or relate to a specific person.

People who read books are able to converse on a level that few others are able.  There is something about book people that just seems more well educated,  more well informed, than people who do not read regularly.  I feel a kinship with people who read, and I am able to relate with them as I can with few other groups of people.
