bullfighting and rodeos

On August 19 2010 the Washington Post reported that a bull leapt into a group of spectators during a bullfight in Spain injuring forty people. The article reports that the bull was restrained and later killed as though this "raging" bull was justly punished for its violent behavior. What the article does not cover is how bulls are tortured prior to entering the ring to make these normally docile animals fearful and aggressive.
