Updates:
Some more minor changes have been made to LFTMITM. Nothing too significant. bits and things, and of course there somehow is always one more typo.
The real news is just frustration with the e-book situation. went through an outfit called smashwords, to try to publish across more platforms now that my Amazon exclusive contract is up.
couldn't get past their submission requirements, which included removing all formatting, and making changes which altered the structure of the book that I really did not appreciate.
I haven't actually gone all the way through the kindlebook verson. It seemed fine, what i did, read, and in fact it pointed out some little boo boos i hadnt noticed in my WP.
but man, they want no spaces between paragraphs. ever. at all. they dont accept any blank lines, dont accept some choices made on purpose: sometimes paragraphs have indents, sometimes they are blocked. on purpose. to signify different speakers writing in different styles, making different choices. they consider this "inconsistency" they want the whole book, and all books, to look the same, all the way through, no matter what. so my thinking in this moment is FUCK e-books. some of my favorite writers would never have stood a chance.
hi ho.
see what i did there?
can't do that.
