If I Could Sing

 

If I could sing

then I would sing

a song of distance,

a song of sadness.

A song to tell the story

of all our sorrows.

A song that tells

of how the rain falls

and the winds twist

the days around us all

turning back the days

into darkest night time

and leaving us alone

to sing to the moon.
