Bang (Memoirs of a Relationship Assassin)

5 stars

A good book is one that you make time for, even though you have a busy schedule. This is one such book. This book is a very insightful look into the human psyche, and if I was Mr Wailing’s significant other, I’d be worried after reading this book. He knows way too much!
Seriously though, this is well worth a read. The main character is like one of those chocolates, all tough on the exterior but to your surprise, deep inside, there is a soft centre. The relationship assassin is one of those chocolates. Despite the tense thrill of his life, there is a secret love story lurking in the shadows and if you look with your peripheral vision, you might just be able to see it.
The Author’s other works regularly touch the subject of identity and this book is no exception. It reminded me of an old saying about masks. In the West and in modern times, masks are worn to hide behind, whereas in ancient times masks served a different purpose. They were there to reveal your inner self. They allowed you to show a part of you that was not normally allowed out. The relationship assassin wears many masks. I’ll let you decide which version they represent.
