New Ebook Release: Squire Crayl’s Captive
The second story in the Lady Crayl series, Squire Crayl’s Captive is actually a prequel to Lady Crayl’s Prisoner, giving us a look at Elise and Adam not only before they were knighted but also before they were separated for the first time…
Oh. I made myself sad.
It is a bid of a sad story, but there’s also some fun moments (very fun moments if you enjoy sharp objects and commanding ladies, which Adam Tynae does and I’ll confess I do as well). And the next story in the series will be purely fun.
Actually, here seems like a good place to share my plans for the rest of the series–there are 2 more shorts planned for Lady Crayl, and then I’ll be releasing an ebook and print book collection. That’s hopefully be before the end of May. I’m halfway through one story and maybe a third through with the other–which means I’m more than halfway done with the series as a whole! I only rarely do interconnected stories like this, so it’s quite exciting for me.
Lastly, here’s a good place for me to also come clean about my inspirations. While it’s not unusual for me to write characters “played by” certain attractive real-life individuals (I owe Paul McGann for a lot), I don’t talk about it a lot. Partially this is to let readers form their own mental image. Also to spare the Google search results. But I’m making an exception here because I have a gifset that’s very relevant, and also extremely pretty. It’s Prince Hal from The Hollow Crown BBC series, perfect for all your tall, slender, handsome, middling-blond, medieval, taking-physical-punishment bloke needs.
He’s also played by Tom Hiddleston, so there’s that.
Also, the link will take you to the Tumblr blog of my dear friend, Pasi, who has also become my partner for an Extra Special Project to be declared later this week. So watch her closely. It’ll be no trouble at all, I promise you.
(Or just keep watching those gifs on loop. I know I am…)
