Welcome to the Team, Karoline!
Writing is a full-time job (unfortunately, it's not my ONLY full-time job) and you would not believe (unless you're also in the same boat as I am) how much time it takes to also market your book. So guess what? I now have help! My Knight in Shining Armour comes in the form of the lovely Karoline, my new PA :)
So, as a kind of "welcome to the team", I thought I should introduce you to her and let her tell you a little bit about herself. Chances are, you'll see her posting on my Facebook page and maybe even popping up in here every now and then (in front of the camera, rather than behind, as it were). Please say hello - make her feel at home :)
Without further ado, here's a little Q&A we had recently:
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I have two girls, aged 10 and 12. I spend almost all of my spare time with them. They have more active lives than I do! I My third daughter is my 5 year old beagle Harlow. I like to take her for walks and get outdoors with her as much as possible. And of course, I love to read!
What three words would you use to describe yourself?
Thoughtful, loyal, complex (that was a hard one!)
If you were stranded on a desert island, what three items would you want by your side?
Since this is hypothetical, I'm assuming I can get the collective works of Stephen King in one book someone(almost anyone!) to keep me company and...a knife?
Do you watch TV? If so, what's your fave show?
Yes I watch TV! Right now my favorite show is probably New Girl with Zooey Deschanel. My all time favorite though is Unsolved Mysteries. I love true crimes shows as well.
What was the last great movie you watched?
The Hunger Games. I didn't think I would like it but my daughter convinced me to finally watch it and I loved it!
What kind of books do you like to read?
Romance. Just about any romance other than fantasy/paranormal and historical.
Do you prefer an ereader or paperbacks?
eReader, but I buy paperbacks of the books I really love.
What's your drink of choice? (alcoholic, soda or coffee/tea - doesn't matter!)
Diet Dr. Pepper. I'm also a huge fan of martinis!
What are a few of your fave books?She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb. I first read it in high school and have probably read it 20 or 30 times. Also, The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger and The Stand by Stephen King.
What music do you listen to? Fave singer/band?
I listen to mainly alternative rock. My favorite band is The xx, an amazing trio out of England.
