Maybe a slight similarity with "The Mortal Instruements" even in this movie there was a concept of guardian and she comes to know about her power from him !! :-)

Ah i see :) haha I prefer the infernal devices, but I didn't get to read the most recent 2 mortal instruments books... i must get around to that! Not that i have time though because i'm so busy writing the third rouge book :)
at the moment... yes i think it is. But i'm considering writing a second series linked to the story of Hunter (you're hearing this first!) so we'll see what happens :) fun times!
I may have to read this, but from reading the synopsis it appears to have elements of Stephen King's Firestarter which featured a pyrokinetic. I know I am going, way back for this one. That is where the comparison would end though since that was the result of government experimenting.
